Encouraging New Foods:

Creat a "New Food Chart" and each week try out three new foods, could be fruit, veggies, main dish, etc. If your charges will take two bites of the new food, they get a sticker to put on their chart.

Submitted by Donna Robinson. "At 4 & 2 they still love stickers and when I was there we tried things like Star fruit and other exotic ones as we were about to take a trip to a tropical place. Each week, they'd ask, what's the new foods this week?"

That moment

Yesterday I went to pick up one of my boys from school. He saw me from across the cafeteria, his face lit up, he ran across and gave me a hug saying, "I missed you so much". This is why I do the work I do. Moments like this.

Nanny Island

My first post on Nanny Island. Whoever thought of this is a genius. Finally! A social networking site for nannies! I generally became a nanny because I love being a "big brother". It was the most rewarding part of the job. I've worked with all ages but I've been the most sucessful with elementary school aged boys for that reason.
